C70 2004 Rear window in convertible elevation is "unglueing".

I purchased my 2004 C70 almost 2 years ago. Yesterday I noticed that the rear window appeared 'pushed in' nigh the top right corner. Upon closer examination it appears that the factory glue has let go there. I chosen my local Volvo dealer and spoke with the service manager who told me to look a $4000 bill every bit they will have to replace the complete meridian. And he specifically stated that the "certified Used warranty" will non cover this.
Has anyone else in the forum experienced problems with their windows falling out? Any ideas on how to repair this? Help!!!!

Equally a semi-permanent set up you could sew up the affected area by manus using some thick nylon thread. Should be bachelor at an upholstery shop. It would be easier with a friend on the inside to push button the needle dorsum out so you don't take to keep moving from inside to exterior.

I sewed a new window in a convertible top of an onetime motorcar I had (not a Volvo) using a sewing motorcar. I had to remove the whole top. I don't know how difficult that would be on your car. The window lasted the life of the elevation.

I finally contacted a local "convertible specialist". He helped me empathize my options which included having him install a new top for less than $2000 (same manufacturer as the volvo people employ). We decided to try a mucilage that he had wanted to try, for $100. It is fixed, it is holding, and I'thousand pretty happy. The expert is not sure how long information technology will terminal, but that'southward OK. When it does requite mode, I'll get the new top installed by him.
don't inquire me what glue he used. I asked, he replied "trade hugger-mugger".

thanks for the contact, I'll give him a call. I didn't mention before that I had sent a certified letter to corporate and they didn't do much. They offered $1500 and financing for the residue(~4500). They said the $1500 was being offered as a goodwill gesture. Thank you again

I repaired my own using some Maritime mucilage and a couple of pieces of wood and styrofoam blocks to support it from the inside. the mucilage really rocks I don't have the name with me now but if yous contact me I would be happy to provide it for you. the glue cost $23 only was well worth it and the tube is plenty to end the job the repair seems to be permanent and it has held up for 6 months so far if for whatever reason information technology should autumn through once more I would let the people on this site now but it seems to exist holding upwards Rock Solid have care and good luck
